Machine Shop

The ECE Machine shop is located in Room 101D Engineering South and serves as a lab workshop for students pursuing undergraduate as well as graduate courses related to Electrical and Computer Engineering. It offers the technical shop related support for the design courses as well as other research related interests.

Training
Training is required before you are allowed to work in the Machine Shop.
Requests for training may be placed here.
The training is divided up into three different sections:
- General Safety (approximately 1 hour)
- Mill (2-3 hours, depending on skill level)
- Lathe (2-3 hours, depending on skill level)
All portions must be passed to have access to the machine shop when no Machine Shop employee is present.
No loose clothing or open-toed shoes are allowed in the Machine Shop.
Safety goggles are available for use in the machine shop and must be worn for any metal work.
